Description
About This Product
The GW9.0-BAT-D-G20 is a 9.0 kWh high-voltage lithium iron phosphate battery from GoodWe’s Lynx D G2 series, providing 8.7 kWh of usable energy. Designed for compatible GoodWe residential energy-storage systems, each battery is a self-contained module with its own battery management hardware, allowing systems to be expanded as household storage requirements grow. The Lynx D G2 platform supports both single-phase and three-phase GoodWe energy-storage architectures and is designed for applications including solar self-consumption, backup power and energy trading.

Who This Product Suits
The GW9.0-BAT-D-G20 suits homeowners and businesses building a compatible GoodWe high-voltage battery system and wanting close to 9 kWh of storage from each battery module. It is particularly useful where the initial installation may need to be expanded later, as the Lynx D G2 architecture supports multiple battery units and allows different capacities within the same series to be combined where permitted by the system design. It can be used with compatible GoodWe ESA systems and supported GoodWe hybrid inverters including ET G2 and ET30 series models.
Specifications Explained
The GW9.0-BAT-D-G20 uses lithium iron phosphate, or LiFePO4, battery chemistry and has a rated energy capacity of 9.0 kWh with 8.7 kWh of usable energy under GoodWe’s specified test conditions. Maximum system charging and discharging power is 4.5 kW, with short-duration peak output of up to 6.75 kW for 10 seconds. Maximum input current is 10.7 A and maximum output current is 11.8 A.
The battery is designed for GoodWe’s high-voltage storage architecture, with an operating voltage range of 350-550 V when used within a compatible single-phase system and 700-950 V within a compatible three-phase system. Communication is via CAN and RS485. GoodWe specifies an operating temperature range of -20°C to +55°C for both charging and discharging, along with an IP66 enclosure rating for protection against dust and water.
The Lynx D G2 platform uses independently managed battery modules and supports expansion of up to 12 battery units in compatible configurations. GoodWe also permits mixing of different Lynx D G2 capacities and, subject to the applicable design requirements, the addition of newer battery modules to an existing system. GoodWe specifies a cycle life of at least 10,000 cycles under its stated laboratory test conditions.
Summary
The GW9.0-BAT-D-G20 combines 9.0 kWh rated capacity, 8.7 kWh usable storage and LFP battery chemistry in GoodWe’s modular Lynx D G2 high-voltage platform. Its IP66 enclosure, -20°C to +55°C operating range, independent battery management and flexible system expansion make it a practical option for residential solar-storage and backup systems using compatible GoodWe equipment. Inverter compatibility, battery quantity, system voltage and proposed backup loads should be checked as part of the installation design.
